Tab Lab is being renovated and equipped now. Here is an overview of our laboratories setup.

A large part of our work is sequencing data analysis. We use several computing resources depending on the task. Large clusters, Galaxy server, our local workstation, or laptops.

Several laboratories for molecular biology work (pre and post PCR separated), with fume hoods and state-of-the-art equipment and devices for genomics application, i.e. RNA and DNA isolation, sequencing libraries prep, QC, PCR & qPCR.

What’s in it? Fluorometer, thermocyclers, fridges, freezers, fragment size analyser, gel documentation system

Our low contamination lab to work on historical DNA (only pre-PCR), for preparing resting eggs and sensitive samples.

What’s in it?Thermocycler, UV cross linker, clean bench with HEPA, UV light and laminar flow, fridges, freezers

The mud slinging lab – Sample treatment, storage, advanced particle analysis with a high throughput dynamic microscope

What’s in it? Mainly, a sink, sieves, and pipettes

Another ‚wet lab‘ in a very literal way, for experimental work with live animals (Daphnia).

What’s in it? Algae growth chamber, microscopes with camera, climate chambers, spectrophotometer

Our light and temperature controlled space has ideal conditions for maintaining and multiplying the Daphnia clonal lines we want to use in our projects.
